Positive NHS figures published today

🏥 Really positive NHS figures published today.

Waiting lists fell by 110,000 in March - the biggest monthly drop since 2008 outside of the Covid period.

There has also been major progress across the NHS:

✅ Best ambulance response times for strokes and heart attacks in 5 years

A&E waits at their best levels in 5 years

2,000 more GPs recruited, with patient satisfaction rising to 74.5%

8,500 additional mental health staff recruited - reaching the target 3 years early

NHS finances balanced for the first time in 9 years, while productivity rose by 2.8%

Thank you to NHS staff across the country for the dedication and hard work behind these improvements.

At the same time, I know that there are residents who are still struggling with long waits for appointments, treatment and operations. If you need support with an NHS issue, please contact my office to see if we can offer support.
