Site Cleared Following Community Concerns Near Roman Hill

Great to see the paved area next to Roman Hill Primary School now cleared up.

A number of residents got in touch with me about the state of the site, including Use Your Voice, who have been brilliant in raising concerns locally. It was clear something needed to be done.

I brought together all the key stakeholders, including the school, Cllr Tess Gandy, local councillors, community groups, East Suffolk Council, Lowestoft Vision, Sizewell C and others, to agree a way forward and make sure this was tackled properly.

I’m really pleased that East Suffolk Services Limited, with funding from the school, have now cleared the site and removed the waste. Thank you to everyone involved in getting this sorted.

I know many in the community want to go further and turn this into a positive space for local people and children. I’ll continue working with councillors and community groups to support that next step.
