24/7 FREE BUS TRAVEL FOR DISABLED PEOPLE
This week, the Government announced that time restrictions on disabled people’s bus passes will be lifted in the next financial year, allowing them to travel on buses for free throughout the day.
A lack of affordable transport is often a major practical barrier for disabled people entering the workplace, and this week’s change will expand access to employment, education, training, and other opportunities.
This comes on top of the £3.5 billion the Government is already investing in tailored employment support to help disabled people stay in or find work.
