Updates to the Statutory Independent Inquiry Into Grooming Gangs terms of reference

You may recall that In February I encouraged local people to contribute to the consultation on the terms of reference for the Statutory Independent Inquiry Into Grooming Gangs: (https://www.facebook.com/JessAsatoforLowestoft/posts/pfbid0UWZ6qbF77LFXuLSo8QhwBLmgdga9ZFd2YosUyNJ1AJgbv61KtBvJRaft2Dr7B5b6l

As a result of that public consultation, the pictured changes have been made to the terms of reference.

The Inquiry's work is underway. They are currently working with victims and survivors to establish a Victim & Survivor Charter and by mid-July will set out the criteria by which local areas will be selected for investigation. The Inquiry is also working with the National Crime Agency’s Operation Beaconport to set out the principles, protocols, and mechanisms for collaboration between the Inquiry and the police.
